Biography

Dr Muhammad Ahmad is the only surgeon in history of Pakistan who has developed a new classification system for male pattern baldness, named as “Ahmad’s NPRT system”. His classification on scalp hair distribution (LGMA classification) is the unique and presented first time in the history. He has developed his own Scar Assessment Scale (Ahmad’s Cosmetic Surgery Scar Assessment Scale). He is the first surgeon in the world to develop Ahmad’s Hair Transplant Assessment Scale. He is the Editor of Pakistan Journal of Plastic Surgery (Pakistan), Editor of Newsletter of Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons (AAHRS), Editor of the book ‘Alopaecia’ by InTechOpen Publishers, Guest Editor of Plastic & Aesthetic Research journal on ‘Minimally invasive cosmetic surgery’, Member Editorial Board of ‘Cambridge Scholars Publishing’ UK on Plastic Surgery Books and ‘Austin Plastic Surgery: Open Access’ journal by Austin Publishing Group, USA. He received the Merit Award by the Australian and New Zealand Burns Association in 2004. He also received the FIRST prize in annual meeting of Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons (AAHRS) in Bangkok, Thailand in 2017. He is the leading author in more than ONE Hundred National and International publications
